Newark-Heath User Subsidized Taxi Program
A token is redeemable for a one-way ride within the taxi-token zone. There are two types of tokens that may be purchased:- General Public
The general public may purchase a token for a charge of $3.00 per token. This token may be redeemed for a one-way ride with the zone. - Elderly and Disabled
The elderly (defined as 65 years or older) and the disabled may purchase a token for a charge of $1.50 per token. This token may be redeemed for a one-way ride within the zone. PROOF OF AGE OR DISABILITY MUST BE PROVIDED TO PURCHASE AND USE ELDERLY AND DISABLED TOKENS. Medicare Card Holders may also purchase and use elderly and disabled tokens by displaying their Medicare Cards.
