Public Transportation in Licking County is provided by two entities:
- The City of Newark administers the
Newark-Heath Taxi-Token Program, a
subsidized taxi service within a defined
zone
in the cities of Newark and Heath.
- The Licking County Transit Board administers two bus services:
- A deviated-route bus service between Newark and Johnstown; and
- A commuter bus service
from Newark and Pataskala to downtown Columbus.
LCATS works cooperatively with both the
City of Newark and the
Licking County Transit Board
in planning for the transportation needs of Licking County citizens.
