A transportation project in the LCATS Service Area cannot receive federal transportation funds if it is not included in LCATS TIP.

LCATS prepares a twenty-year Transportation Plan. The Transportation Plan serves as the guide for the LCATS Policy Committee in making decisions regarding transportation improvements within the LCATS service area.

LCATS examines all modes of transportation (including, but not limited to: transit, freight, bicycle and pedestrian transportation) in developing its plans and programs.

LCATS has a Public Involvement Policy that strives to provide complete information, timely notice, and full public access to key decisions, and to provide early and continuing public involvement.
